IELTS Intensive Prep Courses for Work and Studies Abroad

English language skills are needed to succeed if you are planning on working or studying abroad. The majority of employers and educational institutions abroad request documents certifying your English language proficiency. One of the most demanded tests for establishing the necessary level of language proficiency is the IELTS testing system (http://www.ielts.org).

To help you succeed in work and in your studies, the Skrivanek Baltic Language School offers one-month intensive preparatory courses for IELTS testing. The course is a great way to become acquainted with the structure, content and requirements of the test, as well as to look at example questions from previous IELTS tests. This way, course participants not only have a chance to develop their English language knowledge and skills, but can also fully prepare themselves for every part of the IELTS test: listening, reading, writing and speaking. Skrivanek Baltic Language School teachers will individually assess each student's abilities and provide learning materials and study tips for each section of the test.

Intensive IELTS preparatory courses are held on weekday mornings and evening groups. Students may register for one of two knowledge groups – with some pre-existing knowledge (knowledge levels A1 and A2) and intermediate knowledge (B1, B2, C1 and C2).

Courses include 15 lessons or 30 academic hours. The total course fee in Riga is LVL 120 (VAT included).

In Liepaja, the course fee is LVL 90 (VAT included) for 15 lessons or 30 academic hours.

Skrivanek Baltic Language School methodologists offer consultations free of charge for registration for the IELTS test. IELTS testing will take place at the Baltic Council for International Education, which is the only IELTS testing centre in Latvia.
